My name is Carl Emil, and I’m the founder. I design and handcraft every single piece of jewellery. I left my career as an architect to follow my passion for art and design.

carle_mil is a 100% Danish brand, designed and handcrafted in Copenhagen by architect Carl Emil Augustesen. Every piece of jewelry is individually sculpted by hand, ensuring that each creation is truly one of a kind. There is no mass production—just one person crafting each piece with care and precision. This dedication to craftsmanship guarantees high-quality, sustainable jewelry.
Good things take time, which is why the production process can take 2-4 weeks before your piece is ready to be in your hands.

carle_mil was born from a frustration with the commercial world of architecture—a deep longing for freedom, experimentation, and artistic expression. It emerged as a rebellion against limitations, driven by a desire to create without rules, where creativity, playfulness, and craftsmanship take center stage. Each piece of jewelry is designed to break away from the norm, carrying a personal story and embracing the duality where high-end exclusivity meets raw, rebellious energy.

my studio is open by appointment, usually between 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

how do I clean my carle_mil jewelry?

as a general rule, all carle_mil jewelry can be cleaned in a bit of soapy water. If you have access to an ultrasonic cleaner, you can use it to effectively clean the most hard-to-reach corners of the jewelry.

are the gold jewellery made of solid gold?

All gold jewelry from carle_mil is made of 14 carat solid recycled gold
